REMINDER:
Please help the environment by not blowing grass clippings into the street when mowing. If unable to keep from blowing grass into the street, please remove it after mowing. While we can’t do anything about what trees contribute to the problem, we can do something about the grass clippings. The grass combines with other objects to block storm sewers, and the nitrogen-laden grass pollutes the water in streams, rivers and lakes as it flows from the storm sewers into the waterways.
In addition to the environmental issues, grass clippings in the street are unsightly and are a hazard for motorcycle riders and children on bicycles as well. Let’s all work together to make Indian Creek look the best it can be.
